Supports 6, 8, 10, 12 and 16-bit color depths.
The complete bandwidth of the cable guarantees a length of 3 meters.
The effective transmission bandwidth of 1080p is guaranteed for a length of 5 meters.
Supports DisplayPort Content Protection (DPCP) with 128-bit AES, and version 1.1 also supports 40-bit HDCP.
It also supports internal and external connections, enabling computer manufacturers to reduce costs.

Multi-display output
DisplayPort 1.2 supports MST (Multi-Stream Transport), allowing a single DP to connect to multiple displays.

To use this feature, the displays need to support DP 1.2 daisy-chaining, or use an MST Hub to split one DP into three.
