What are the differences between mechanical keyboard data cables?

The interface of the data cable can be divided into two parts: the connection part at the PC end and the connection part at the keyboard end.

The interface at the PC end can be divided into two types: PS/2 and USB.

1) PS/2: This interface first appeared on IBM's PS/2 machines, hence its name. It is a dedicated interface for mice and keyboards.

2) USB: Supports hot plugging, meaning plug and play.

The keyboards with PS/2 interface and USB interface are similar in usage. Due to the support of hot plugging for USB interface, USB interface keyboards may be more convenient to use. Currently, most mechanical keyboards use the USB interface, and there are also adapters for converting between PS/2 and USB interfaces. Therefore, the PC end interface is not a factor to consider when purchasing a data cable.

2. Keyboard end interface
The interface at the keyboard end mainly depends on what the interface looks like on the PCB. Currently, the main types are type-c, miniusb (T port), microusb (Android port), and USB.

1) type-c: Since the type-c interface has only been around for a short time, there are not many keyboards with this interface. As far as I know, there are the F60 from IQUNIX of Daali and Poker2 from IKBC. However, it must be said that the type-c interface is still the future trend.
