Which is better, DP or mini DP?

Both the DP and miniDP interfaces can support 4K ultra-high-definition video output. Since the DisplayPort (DP) interface was developed by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) in 2006, it has evolved into several versions, including DP 1.2, 1.3, and 1.4, which support 4K resolution. MiniDP (mini DisplayPort) is a reduced version of the DP interface, maintaining the performance characteristics of the DP interface while being smaller in size. It is commonly used in ultra-thin laptops. MiniDP also supports various versions of the DP protocol, thus enabling 4K video output as well.
In terms of performance, the DP 1.3 and 1.4 versions offer higher bandwidth, enabling the playback of higher-quality 4K videos, including HDR (High Dynamic Range) content. However, due to the physical size limitations of miniDP, it may not perform as well as the standard DP interface in some applications with extremely high bandwidth requirements. But for most daily usage scenarios, miniDP is sufficient to provide high-quality 4K video output.
