The fan of the graphics card is rotating but the VGA light is on, which is usually caused by a signal output problem due to the connection between the graphics card and the motherboard, or a hardware failure. It is necessary to troubleshoot step by step.

I. Hardware connection check (priority check)
1. Loose or poor contact of the interface
• Reinsert and reposition the graphics card into the PCIe slot on the motherboard (operation requires power-off), ensuring that the gold fingers are fully inserted;
• Check the interfaces at both ends of the VGA/HDMI/DP cables, clean the oxide layer (use an eraser to wipe), and try replacing the cables or the display interface.
2. Insufficient power supply
• Confirm that the power supply line for the graphics card (6/8pin) is securely plugged in. If the power supply is insufficient (lower than the recommended power consumption of the graphics card), replace it with a higher-power power supply;
• Check if the 24pin main power supply of the power supply is firmly inserted.

II. Display output setting issue
1. BIOS/UEFI settings error
• Enter BIOS by pressing Del/F2 during startup, confirm that "Primary Display Output" is set to "PCIe Graphics" (instead of integrated graphics);
• If the motherboard has integrated graphics, remove the cable connecting the display to the integrated graphics and ensure that the signal is output to the independent graphics card.
2. Input source of the display not switched
• Some displays require manual switching of the input source (e.g. VGA → HDMI), select the correct interface through the remote control or buttons.

III. Possibility of hardware failure
1. Graphics card failure
• If the above steps are ineffective, it may be that the core or memory of the graphics card is damaged, or the power supply module is faulty. Send it for repair or replace it;
• Try installing the graphics card in another normal computer to rule out compatibility issues.
2. Fault of the PCIe slot on the motherboard
• If the graphics card works normally in other computers, check if the PCIe slot on the motherboard is damaged (such as bent pins), and replace the slot for testing.
