Comparison of DP, HDMI, and DVI
Sep 16, 2026
In terms of resolution, the DP interface far outperforms HDMI and DVI, capable of supporting 4K output. Although the DVI interface can achieve a resolution of 2560*1600@60Hz, it falls short when it comes to high-resolution demands such as 4K@60Hz or 4K 144Hz. The DP and HDMI interfaces are more outstanding in this regard.
In terms of anti-interference performance, both the DP and HDMI interfaces perform well. They both employ advanced transmission technologies, effectively reducing interference during signal transmission, resulting in a more stable picture. In contrast, the DVI interface, although having a certain advantage in resolution, is much inferior in anti-interference performance.
It is worth noting that the DP interface also performs well in transmission speed. Its bandwidth reaches 10.8Gbps, sufficient to support 4K@144Hz high refresh rate display. While the HDMI interface has a bandwidth of 10.2Gbps, it can meet the requirements of 4K@60Hz, but is slightly lacking in high refresh rate display. The bandwidth of the DVI interface is relatively low, only 1.65Gbps, thus lacking in both anti-interference performance and transmission speed compared to the DP and HDMI interfaces.
In conclusion, if you are seeking the best picture quality and anti-interference performance, the DP interface is undoubtedly the best choice. HDMI interface can be used as an alternative solution to some extent, especially when you do not require extremely high refresh rates. As for the DVI interface, although it has a certain advantage in resolution, it performs relatively poorly in picture quality and anti-interference performance.
