Appearance difference between USB3.0 and USB2.0
Sep 19, 2022
Observe the USB socket (itself) and the USB socket on the computer. The color of the plastic sheet in the middle: USB3.0 -- blue; USB2.0 -- black. Of course, the color differentiation of some devices is not standardized. For example, the non native USB 3.0 supported by some master chips may not be blue. Some USB 2.0 devices, such as MP3 players and data cables, may be black or white plastic chips.
If it cannot be distinguished by color, the number of interface pins can also be seen. Compared with USB2.0, USB3.0 has several more pins. On the Type-A interface, there are five more pins inside the interface, and Type-B interface has one more pin above the interface.
